NYBB-- > When the ESS switches recognized that the call was data it would switch the call to the DSC data network and the Westell equipment would connected to the DSC network from the CO to the end user.< That is incorrect. A pots splitter attached to a WSTL ATU-C card splits the 0-4Khz frequencies and sends the corresponding POTS signal to the voice switch--which could be a 5ESS or another manufacturer. The 5ESS is transparent to the solution, it does nothing. Just making sure you know which end is up. Hal
