Concerning you silly statement "Whats the matter Bill,You bought some at 33.25,Or did you sell at 17 before it went up" grow up. This company has some real basic structural problems and that is my complaint.
I buy and sell Vocaltec. Some for trading profits, others for short to long term profits. For what it is worth, my big buy times follow:
9/9/96 Buy VocalTec Communications, LTD 6 10/23/9 Buy VocalTec Communications, LTD 4 10/24/96 Buy VocalTec Communications, LTD 4 1/2 12/12/96 Buy VocalTec Communications, LTD 6 1/4 2/3/97 Buy VocalTec Communications, LTD 8 4/2/97 Buy VocalTec Communications, LTD 6 7/8 4/22/97 Buy VocalTec Communications, LTD 6 1/2 4/28/97 Buy VocalTec Communications, LTD 6 3/8 7/22/97 Buy VocalTec Communications, LTD 8 1/8 7/23/97 Buy VocalTec Communications, LTD 9 1/16 7/28/97 Buy VocalTec Communications, LTD 10 3/4 8/28/97 Buy VocalTec Communications, LTD 20 10/21/97 Buy VocalTec Communications, LTD 31 10/31/97 Buy VocalTec Communications, LTD 24 1/2 11/13/97 Buy VocalTec Communications, LTD 19 1/4 12/2/97 Buy VocalTec Communications, LTD 18 1/4
Because they have slid so much since October, what used to be a shinning star in my portfolio is now just a good one, but only when viewed over the past 2 years. I no longer see them as a good long term play. When they were trading above 25, I had a realized plus unrealized profit of about 300%. I'll end up with about 50% profit for the 2 years, less than I could have gotten from an indexed fund on the S&P 500. |
