Thanks for the DWDM tips, but that's not what I was looking for. I believe that the market for DWDM with NT, LU and now TELLABS (ie CIEN) is too crowded for another player. Also, Ciena folks and Cisco folks have already announced that their relationship is not hurt by this merger and I believe this.
What I'm looking for is a company with great technology, established customer base and too small to make it on their own (making them a possible take-over target). CIEN was a great trading stock and I made out OK with them.
Possible candidates : ASND,BAY,COMS,CS,NSCP,and yes NN.
BTW, why are you convinced that LU will buy ASND and not NN ? LU already bought Livingston, giving them a RAS box and NN does make a decent ATM/Frame relay box, I'm told <vbg>. Not to mention that NN would be a lot cheaper.
