Allan I recently posted, on the Asia thread, that there is an impending MAJOR shortfall of containers in Asia. Seems the normal ratio of Containers in Asia vs U.S./Europe is 4/5. Currently it is 1/5. Nobody is shipping to Asia and this leaves excess containers in U.S. and European ports. Shippers have taken to shipping empty containers to Asia to have capacity for the Christmas rush. Hence a glut of containers here and the probability of poor leasing opportunities. regards bt
