Foundry Networks is a startup in Sunnyvale focussed on Layer 2 LAN switches with some network Layer 3 functions (routing). Company was started by ex-Centillion people. Pull up their web page. Excitement is in Gigabit ether and that is one of their concerns. There are many startups in this arena. foundrynet.com
