Walter, I think it's fairly easy to figure out some of the points in the article. When Biotech Jim asked about the Lake Tahoe presentation at the beginning of March, their was a rumor that the data had been submitted to Science. I couldn't get a confirmation of the journal (probably because it had not been accepted yet), but a publication soon would be about right for the data.

The information that I could gather from someone familiar with the presentation was that the mimic was about 500 daltons, was mouse specific, and produced an effect that was remarkably similar to the polypeptide hormone itself, G-CSF. At the time, I and Biotech Jim and others, felt that such a discovery would be VERY major. SBH visits to the Links to Ligand page at home.att.net had become unusually active, suggesting some excitement at that end.

I expect the news to be quite spectacular, and I expect LGND to remain relatively quiet about a human version of the small molecule.
