Ooo...didn't Bill Gates once say that 640k was more than enough memory? grin I guess my point is that for legacy systems, I believe you; but if you're designing a business app using OOD, it seems to me that you would want to find an implementation method that most closely fits your object-model. This may help to explain why object databases have become more popular recently. Besides, using pointer navigation to get to your data can potentially be much faster than running queries all of the time. :-) >Oracle catches up fast... Agreed! Regards, Randy
