Another great post Pierre!

VERY good points on the long terms of the OE principles. And I particularly liked your example about the slow adoption of FI. It drove me crazy waiting while the big three (USA) took their sweet time when Europe had the sense to recognize the future. Note that same situation applies to valvetrains. GM STILL hasn't seen the light on overhead camshafts. I cringed when they pulled their DOHC V6 out of their midsized cars and put that ancient "Buick" pushrod V6 back in. And if that wasn't bad enough, the small block Chevy's replacement, the "LS1", has pushrods too! Explain to me why a Cadillac has a DOHC motor ("Northstar") and the Corvette has pushrods! The only pushrod motor in Europe is the Rover 4 liter V8....an engine they bought from GM when GM discontinued it back in 1964...

I hope the fiscal year/annual report schedule does indeed impose the end of June deadline for an announcement (that you suspect). I also saw an article title on a website that I don't have a subscription to referring to the tremendous air pollution in Thailand being caused by 2-stroke motorcycles...

Perhaps I should explain that I am a big proponent of the internet (as an investment), and missing out on some big gains while money is tied up in OE is very frustrating. I didn't anticipate it taking this long to get the stock moving. Don't misunderstand, I won't sell on the first bump, but I had time to benefit from some huge internet stock gains (and I didn't know that). People getting into OE now are as well off (or better) than I. I'm sure that really grates on everyone who got into OE when S&P first initiated coverage (at double digit prices)!
