My point was that Zitec is supposedly handling distribution of either kind: cyber or physical. And however they're handling the hoped-for sale of 40,000 units, they're getting more than 30% of retail price for their trouble. This probably has to do with the fact that it's unlikely they'll be paid by CSHK; it is, in a sense, a commission-on-sales arrangement.
It would seem that contrary to the impression the press releases sought to convey, Zitec is a very, very new company; one formed, in fact, solely to manage sales and distribution for CSHK. They gave one address in North Palm Beach, then one on "W. Generic Street" in Glenmoore, then a P.O. box in West Chester (the seat of Chester county). Their phone is listed to a Beverly Bridges. I ask myself whether this really is, or will be, George Palmer's full-time job.
Another question: will the price for the online download and the CD be the same? Production costs naturally will be quite different. |
