JTC, Don't want to argue with you about DOW to 2000, or 500 theory. However, to say that 10,000 students died in Tienanmen Square incident in 1989 is imagination working at it best, similar to DOW to 2000 theory. Ask ANY Chinese students who were at the square that night and they will tell you that probably several hundred people died (most of whom were Beijing residents, not students) and several thousand got injured. Don't put too much money on what those student leaders said and the Western press is always exaggerating the truth. good luck, larry! PS I don't want to get into arguments about politics.
