The biggest problem with buying a computer these days is that the models / prices are shifting to rapidly. I only buy ThinkPads for my work and the price drops have been dramatic over the last year (my original ThinkPad 770 cost me a little over $9k... my latest 770 ED cost be $6k and it has more features)!
