Well, so is tearing that little tag off of my mattress, or pillow, or whatever. I don't think that law applies to Canada, but if it does how would they ever know someone did it. Maybe people are just sloppy typists who happen to accidentally delete file contents. That would be like legislating against computer crashes.

btw. I delete them because I think they slow my computer down. I don't care whether I am right or wrong about that, I will always delete them. If they make it a file that will not run without its orignial contents I will work around it. One way is to keep the first "cookieless" original the first time Netscape or Explorer is installed and then just keep deleting the "corrupted" file and replacing it with the orginal.

Sorry for this off topic post, but this seems to have temporarily turned into the freedom of speech thread.
