Cool, some light sci-fi entertainment.

I enjoyed that 2001 movie, 25 years ago.

I remember one guy in high school who really got into it. He used to talk like Hal, the computer. He was a friendless skinny geeky guy with greasy hair, huge glasses, gross zits, terrible breath; and he was desperate for any escape from his own scary life. His Space Odyssey psychosis provided us with amusing relief to classroom boredom. (he has probably transfered his obsession to the internet by now)

It would be nice to think this thread has its' own loonie-tunes nerd eccentric for our entertainment, but alas, our pal Hal is cruising around the threads in his demented state trying to attract attention wherever he can.

BTW, I stopped by the Sungold offices Friday afternoon and had a good chat with H.B. He is looking very well. The conversation put a nice spin on my weekend. He was clearly excited about some of the near-term developments.

In S.K., Anderson Consulting, which has a strong presence there, will soon be completing a major pre-feasibility study of those projects. This expensive and authoritative report will create an essential foundation for obtaining regulatory changes and financial partners.

Richmond Downs is moving ahead into the political stage. As with any project of this magnitude and potential benefit, many parties will need to have a say in its evolution. I believe these discussions will create adjustments that will assure the success of the outcome.

As for the rest, while we're waiting quietly, the company has been active in some very important ways. I'm sure we'll be noisy again soon.

(If any of you have sent me e-mails or phone calls that I haven't answered, I apologize. I've been busy, and my e-mail situation is out of control.)
