When LSI said in June they were closing a plant their stock price dropped more than 2 points. (Wall streets interpretation was they were getting fewer orders) Todays activity with VSLI is similar to your idea of companies admitting defeat. 5 months, two very similar situations and companies with opposite outcomes. Seems heavily tied to moods. Fads and fashions which it sounds like you've profitted from.
