One of the important things that Mr Davis has posted here in the pass, is the continous breakdown of the options markets, and recording systems. As small to midsize investor, who wish to lay there exposure risk off onto the option traders, how are we to take proper actions unless we get full and appropiate disclosure of these breakdowns?
Have you every heard of a press report anywhere saying that an event occurred. Maybe this is what they are trying to hide? You older people around must remeber that during the 1987 market crash, that the option market was blamed for the early dismise. Yet, later on it was proven that Call option buying was what really turned the market back upwards. Due primarily to the heavy leverage that option accrue. But if the TSE is unable to have a reliable system, than what could happen is a total breakdown in the finacnial system of Canada.
And so goes one country, so goes it neighbors. It's no wonder why the bulk of derivatives are traded off the market, and in banks. But that is a trading cabal, and what hope does the average small time investor have. Is the whole finacial world going to be nothing more than mutual fund investing, and no private investors? This is an ideal situation for the mutual fund industry. As they would be the only one profiting.
Porter: Isn't it nice to see that you have so many supporters. I reconize several mutual funds buyers, some posting under disguises and some openenly. And yet to see any truely negative responses. I think they validate your postings, and than they can move on and fix the problems! Not to mention the thousands that read only, and haven't yet payed for posting privelges. |
