One good thing about the exchange rates, at least to me, is that it hurts when I buy, but once it is bought, the portfolios that I use are quoting me C$ for Cdn stocks and U.S. $ for U.S. stocks like MINE, but they all look the same on the monitor. The fun part comes when you sell and the $$ are in your account, and it's 40-50% more than the monitor was telling you. Yahoo, love those U.S. pennies!
Gave up on politicians long ago. Know a few very honest, very savvy business guys that have gone that route. They stay the way they were, for as long as they can I am sure, but then something comes over them and all they really care about is keeping their jobs and getting re elected. Vote for the best, accept whomever, and roll with the punches. |
