Self correcting word processors would be a good software enhancement, but is that function compelling (to upgrade/buy a new computer)? Nintendo 64 makes the argument very well, it is superior to PC's in playing games for a much lower price than a new PC with a faster chip.

Assuming you have a P200 or PP200 right now, what NEW functions will become possible with double or triple the speed in future processors? IMHO, I think that is a pretty central question to the continued growth of the industry and Intel beyond, say, 1997.
