You know, Shooter, when I'm trying to unload some piece of garbage that hasn't worked out, I'm pretty grateful there's an MM out there to take it off my hands -- even at a loss. Some of these shares aren't worth the paper they're printed on -- and we have complicity, because we know that when we buy them.
It's easy to excoriate the MM's, especially when you've lost money -- but there wouldn't be a market at all without -- Market Makers.
I'm a value-oriented guy. My favorite stock, as everybody knows, is ALYA, a real value play. But I have tried my luck at these momos and such -- with mixed results, like everybody else.
With Mike's change of direction, I don't think I'll ever be doing that stuff again. You know, I never really liked it even when it worked, and less when it didn't.
