I don't know about that. AWRE did fall below its IPO price and perhaps someone out there decided to support it but according to a lot of analysts AMTX WSTL ANCR AWRE ADSP PAIR etc are extremely over-valued relative to their prospects so a change of valuation sentiment for the sector could move them all down 50-75%. I think in retrospect one day the baby bell consortium's decision to go with Alcatel over Westell will be seen as the turning point; Nortel Erriccson Alcatel Lucent etc will takes losses to break into this market (the #1 Westell analyst thought $500 / line was the absolute floor for this technology before Alcatel made its $300 / line bid) and since we are talking about a mass-market with poor ability of customers to appreciate relative quality they are receiving and a very limited, still oligopolistic set of possible providers for copper high-bandwidth I doubt the best technology will win out. Plus there are a host of private players who claim non-DSL solutions to the copper bandwidth problems (Tut Systems for one) and the market has not discounted their effect at all yet.
