Just received a copy of the Paulson report and Microvision's '97 annual report. An interesting read and very upbeat as you might expect. Especially the latter. No question that Team Microvision is as confident as it is enthusiastic about its mission, developing the VRD into the premier display technology, integral to a wide range of applications from HMD's to retinal security scanners to laser projection TV. Certainly the rapid technological advances made this past year indicate the goal, while admittedly grand, may not necessarily exceed Microvision's grasp at some point years hence. At present, the picture on the inside cover of the annual report depicting the new scanning engine using Microvision's proprietary MEMs technology as being smaller than the tip of a finger bodes well for the future success of the VRD. Congratulations to Microvision and Dr. Tom Furness on the 1998 Discovery Award! R.F.
