Well let me ask you another question about MS OS.

Sun has applied and has been accepted by the ISO body which will make Java a open platform for ISV and for anybody else who cares. From my view point, one of my bones of contention about MS is that part of the problem with products develop for MS OS is that the code isn't up to scratch which is not the OSs fault but the lack of info for the ISV and or poor programmers.

If ISV cross MS they are unduly punished when MS decides to give them a hard time in getting the latest upgrades and releases or charges them a hefty fee. They basically control the ISV who want to write code for MS OS.

If MS really believes they are innovative and can produce the best product why haven't they released the source code or applied for ISO status?

If I was the DOJ I would say release the code or break up the OS from the applications group.

I still can't forget when Bill G. stated quit frankly at the Senate hearings that any company could build a OS in a day :-).
