Yeah once the other technologies infrastructure is in place ISDN will take a back seat. But keep in mind that DSL is not "dial up" access so you are locked in to your ISP. In some applications, like small offices ISDN may be a good option and the routers, T.A's etc. have really come down in price. For home users DSL or Cable are the way to go and in the case of DSL the phone company likes DSL because it uses existing copper and is easier (at least this is what I'm hearing from US West) to configure than ISDN.

I have no idea when Cable will be in my area. Last I heard they were laying fiber but it is impossible to get any info from TCI/@Home on when they will roll it out. Hmmm, I'm just trying to figure out how to run the cable from where it comes in through my living room to my computer. I guess I would let the cable guy deal with it.
