Than your for your quick reply. If we focus on the high end switches, specifically the 3Com's SuperStack II Switch 3000 10/100 device, where in the overall design would the cable company place these switches?

Would they be installed at the Headend, the Regional Data Centers (RDCs), or at the Regional Network nodes?

I was curious if any of the large cable companies have begun to invest in these switches and if 3COM has been successful in selling their products into this market segment.

Both CSCO and Bay Networks are currently the major suppliers for these switches. Here is a list of the Network Partners for @Home (http://www.home.com/corp/partnerships.html).

Perhaps the SuperStack II switch is 3Coms answer. The proof will be in the new orders from the large cable companies. Any idea as to what switches TCI is buying?
