James - NMGC,

I follow a lot of the semiconductor companies and thought I would put up a couple of my concerns with this stock.

The thing I see that worries me the most is the quarter to quarter comparisions. Their sales growth seems to be hitting a peak. This is not unusual with the semiconductor market. If one company can make money other companies get into the market. They have some really tough competition out there. INTC has resources beyond their wildest dreams. With the slower increase in sales also came lower quarter to quarter earnings. I'm guessing the pricing is getting very competitive. This will not get better as the notebook world goes under $1000.

In 99 they will have higher R+D. They have 4 customers that account for 55% of their business. They are fabless. Which basically means they have no real assets but the people who work there and patents on their chips. They noted that there is a chance that they might have to write off inventory. I think that is a standard statement in most 10Qs but very few semiconductor companies can get away with selling everything they make all the time. How much of their income was from interest?

Just another opinion. Do not like any of the semis at this point. Could be a hot, long summer for them.

Joe
