PacBell (part of SBC) and Bell Atlantic are both finally rolling out DSL.

PacBell(SBC)'s 5/27/98 press release (384kbps DSL at $89/month):

Bell Atlantic's 6/3/98 press release (640kbps DSL at $70/month):

Questions for this thread:

1. If you just signed up, please share your experience with us.
2. What equipment are these two service providers using (both the front-end and the back-end network)?
3. For those of you that are technical. Above press release says the initial speeds will be about 500kbps, what speed will the technology reach in 2 to 3 years? and then in 5 to 10 years?
