Because Lincoln was correct when he observed that some can be fooled all the time, and all can be fooled some of the time. In the case of ITKG vs. IASCA, it's also a matter of the [ temporary, of course ] triumph of style over substance so prevalent in our "image is everything" society. One might also draw parallels to "The Emperor's New Clothes" to glean additional insight into the temporary disparity.
