I understand your point. We are not talking about a loss so much as a decrease in profit, but still desirable to minimize. CPQ does things like hold final insertion of the processors and burn-in until the last minute when a price change is in the works, thus cutting their at-risk inventory. Dell just does business as usual... they have almost no at-risk inventory.
