(November 5, 1997) Digitcom Interactive Video Network has licensed Voxware's RT29 compression/decompression (codec) technology, enabling Digitcom to integrate high-quality voice transmission over the Internet with regular telephone equipment. Digitcom plans to offer the first UNIX-based Internet Protocol (IP) telephony suite of services using MetaVoiceT RT29 codec from Voxware, a Princeton-based developer of advanced speech and audio technologies.
