hey lisa --- I just thought of something else that might be causing the "jiggy" thing on your monitor.....

do you have any flourescent lights or strobe lights in the room???

you could be experiencing a lighting problem....

oh, one more thing.....what do you have your resolution set at? oh, something else.....do you have the right graphics adapter card for the monitor and are you using the correct drivers???

now, what edit are you talking about???
