Just a comment regarding Chris Conden's lens technology (patented).. A friend saw a recent 35 mm short done with Chris' lens at a screening about a month ago (with Chris present). He stated that Chris' imagry was in focus and sharp all the way to the edge of the screen. He further indicated to me that Imax's imagery goes a bit out of focus as you get to the edge of the picture. I think Chris explained why his imagery does what it does to him, but I don't recall the explanation.

My vision (read speculation) for NVE is that this technology can go into one theater of a complex of theaters at a location (doing this all over the country) ... because the hardware to to this is so simple .. one lens and a silver screen (and I'm told that some of the older theaters have silver screens in place).

Also, my speculation is that Ray and Jack would want to put together a team of companies with complimentary skills ... which would do the best job possible of coming out with a successful and popular product.

I was at the NVE site about a couple of months ago and met Ray and Jack ... and held the lenses ... these guys are working hard at laying a good foundation.
