CIMA --do you recall anywhere it stating what other mineral was found
just beside the gold , if there was silver ,etc.
Theres alot of gold company's that offset the price per oz. of production, selling the other mineral at the same time of mining gold.
Take Royal Oak for ex.there main mine is gold in BC. offset the mining of silver at.90 brings there production cost to mine gold at $106.00
per oz. but that is one mine lucky to have a good amount of silver on hand.Royal Oak has put off plans of expanding there gold mines in Timmins and BC. and mining companys are shutting down because the price of gold now.Would be nice if we had an ample supply of silver
and that would really bring the price of production down.Alot of mining companys are turning to open pit mining first so they can recoupe
all minerals and its the cheapest way to go.They gotta get a P&H 42 CU.YD shovel 1/2 doz 260 ton Euclid trucks bunch of dump trucks to transport the seperated ore to docking load it up in a boat transport it to the Far East for smelting and refining. Now everybodys whats the Far East got to do with this ,those are the kind of question GE are asking themselves now that they say they got gold. How are we going to handle this now , do we try to do it alone the cheapest way or JV.
