Carl, WFR has about 30% of the "non captive" wafers market. I usually estimate the wafer cost at 5% of total chip shipments at a worldwide total of $7 Billion, almost half of which might be captive (or used to be, IBM and TXN got out of it, but Toshiba was very big and at the time even selling some raw wafers they did not use themselves).

I think that a typical 8" wafer should sell at between $50 to $75 per wafer (used to be $100), and the new 12" initially will go for $1000 but rapidly decline to about $400 per wafer (if memory serves). Epitaxial layers add another $.5 to $1 per square inch.
