Ann: Savvy Investor is 409-291-8004. They put out a newsletter once
a month at the end of the month and reveal 4-6 stocks per issue. It costs $135/yr.

Theya re value buyers. They find stocks with a strong tangible asset base and also trading near their 52 week trading low. They also mainly deal with small cap firms.

In this last issue that i got on Saturday, my first, it was interesting reading. It tells why firms are recommended, how many shares are owned by insiders, and gives you a picture of what happened in the past...why the stock sunk...and what they are doing to make it a turnaround.

One stock, the Cosmetic Center (COSCA/COSCB), is a profitable comapny trading at about 1/2 it's tangible value. The present DJIA is about 4 times its tangible value. If the earnings pick up then watch out. However, TLTK is by far and away the best recommendation from the literature i have.

Who knows, maybe in a year i won't need this, yet as i said in an earlier post, it helps me ask the right questions so i mitigate the risk of being shafted by a company i like. For that reason alone, it's worth it to me.
