The week beginning June 8, 1998
Baddog picks BNTI for this week's explosion. This marvelous little company, soon to be a world leader in adaptive recognition systems, has been creeping upward regularly in a most healthy fashion, as it waits for what many think will be very big news. The news has been postponed, but it hasn't caused the price to drift. Closed on Friday at 0.77, and Baddog says news can't stop it this side of 1.50. As for last week's prediction of ICVI blowing past 2 dollars, she reminds us that SHE is not the one who determines when news comes out and to remember when ICVI explodes that you heard it first from HER. She also says her former pick PLFM is up to something with those nice gains at the end of last week. But the winner is Braintech (BNTI).
Indy, sulking a bit because of Baddog beating her to ICVI last week, picks MDCE for this week, while saying it COULD wait until next week. Whenever those nice financials come out - - -
Joey, the dog from New Jersey, feeling a bit miffed about her choice of INFE last week (those #!@*!! MMs) and her short-term picks in general, has a change of tactic this week and wants to recommend something for longer term growth. In her own words: "Each week I will pick a stock that I feel will have potential in the future. Well, this week's pick is MAMH (Mammatech). This company has developed a test kit to detect breast cancer. Since many women don't go to doctors because they feel uncomfortable, this problem often goes undetected and when it's found it's too late. The kit is reusable and you can check for breast cancer as often as you like. There's a rumor that their test kit detected breast cancer that had gone undetected by a traditional visit to the doctor. Members of the SI thread are trying to bring attention to this stock by calling and telling MERCK and BRISTOL MYERS-SQUIBB about this little gem. At 4 cents a share, how can you go wrong to pick up a few shares of this one? Remember, this Jersey dog cares about each and every one of you ..." Kelly the Greyhound chooses PKGP, but with momentary hesitation, not over PKGP but over whether this will be the week or we'll have to wait until next week. Anyway, we shall see! PKGP put out some nice financials last week, so Kelly may be on to something, and the enticing part is that it's now at 0.071.
Summary for this week:
Baddog - BNTI Indy - MDCE Kelly - PKGP Bubbles - CCAR Joey - TSIG for this week's fast return, MAMH for longer term |
