I see your point here Carl, who would of guessed Dell, who is now setting the standards, would be number two seller of computers a few yrs. back. Yet i chose Dell because of their business smarts. Same reason i chose Amazon. Now they may well have patents. I know Dell has patents on their manufacturing processes. But to say that i'm willing to pay a premium for a stock, there had better be a good reason for it and there is. Number one I bought because of the smart management team of this company. I look at other things than just value. Sure value is important, but there are many good reasons why certain stocks have premiums and why others don't. What it all boils down to is who is running the company and how well are they doing it.
