Hi Joe - Glad to see you are with us this morning.....CNBC stated rumors of Novell purchase as did the San Jose Mercury news in AM paper. Employee's are scrambling to find new jobs and CEO Marengi see's himself as "just a VAR". Tighten down your seat belt and look for the final speculation to hit the street this PM and over the weekend. My guess is that announcement will occur next week as this is AFTER COMDEX and the overall news will be light. Orcle or whomever did not want to make any announcements during COMDEX as it would take away from other new product announcements. By the way....CEO Marengi WAS NEVER CEO Material...He is just a salesman and a very good one at that! EKS By the way, did Sun Microsystems or Oracle make any big 'new product/software' announcements at COMDEX this year??? Also SUNW just purchased some land from Lockheed Martin back East around Mass. They also inked a deal for more land in Silicon Valley. Oracl is still looking for land and that new site on 1st street in San Jose would complement their other holdings quite well.
