TXN to sell DRAM business to Micron? Bloomberg news. Would leave MU as only U.S. producer. Effect on Rambus?

Texas Instruments Inc. (TXN): The maker of computer chips is in talks to sell
its dynamic random-access memory chip business to Micron Technology Inc. (MU),
the New York Times reported, citing anonymous people close to the talks. Texas
Instruments and Boise, Idaho-based Micron are the only U.S. makers of the chips,
known as DRAMs, used in computers and other electronic devices. The companies
declined to comment. Texas Instruments rose 7/8 to 79 1/2. Micron rose 5/16 to 24
1/16.
