We also saw big gains from some systems on our Graphics WinMark test. The top score was posted by the Compaq Armada 7800, the first notebook available with AGP graphics. Powered by S3's ViRGE/MX AGP accelerator--and a Compaq-designed core-logic chip set--the Armada garnered a Graphics WinMark score of 116. This is only slightly better than the second-highest score (posted by the Toshiba Tecra), but it's 46 percent higher than the top scorers from our Tillamook roundup.
