Harry,
I've been lurking the FNTN thread on SI and sent you info on my long shares for your count. I have a concern I'd like to share about the web site. It seems a lot of weight is being given to the effect the opening of this site could have on the stock price. I'm doubtful. Very few web sites are really that successful; there are some, but is FNTN really reaching for this? This is a major, major commitment. I look at the site today and I think most everyone agrees it's sub-par. But it's suspiciously poor. If you look at the bottom status bar when you click a link, you notice it's calling a document from siteforyou.com. FNTN's "site" is in a subdirectory here. siteforyou.com is a one-page ad for "Historic Homes for Sale" (quite moderately priced), put online by Phillip H. Seymour at (800) 741-0435, or E-mail at pip2@aol.com . Does anyone know who Phillip H. Seymour is, aside from the fact that he's the person giving FNTN a subdirectory of his homes-for-sale site for their up-and-coming major-stockholder-news website?
Don't get me wrong, I believe in FNTN and am holding long. But not on the basis of their new web site. I can't speculate on the value of this (but based on what I see it would be negligible). For me, the value's in their products and services. Would be great for the site to reflect their technology and cutting-edge placement in an industry, but I can't see any evidence of this happening. I wouldn't at all mind being surprised; however, when I hear intelligent investors apparently factoring in a price appreciation based on this new web site, I become sceptical. If anyone has additional info I'm missing, I'd be very happy if they'd post it.
