Paul Engle: What would the manufactured breakeven price be for a sub-$1000 PC? When the chip maker (say AMD and CYRIX)and the manufacturer would both make a "decent" return? For sure AMD and CYRIX taking a loss on each chip but making it up on volume doesn't work....
