Yesterday (Sun. Jun. 7) I caught part of a show, on C-SPAN, about the Y2K problem. On their web site they have a description of that broadcast (see below): pava.purdue.edu
I've called C-SPAN (800) 277-2698 to find out if they plan to reair that program. Apparently they currently have no plan to reair it.
Please join me in urging C-SPAN to reair that program (ID#106506) by calling them at their 800 number or going to their 'contact web page' c-span.org and sending them email.

Senator Bennett and various computer specialists and economists talked about the potential problems associated with the year 2000 and the difficulties computers may have with the change. Many experts have indicated that computers will perceive the year 2000 as 1900, which could wreak havoc with the economy in the United States and the world. The panelists talked about the various scenarios that could come about and how most of the damage might be prevented. Following their presentations, panelists answered questions from the audience.
