COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 8, 1998--American General Ventures, Inc. (OTC BB: AMGV - news), a leading distributor of branded, affordable multimedia computer systems since 1985, announced that its products are now available on it's newly developed web site (www.availpc.com).
Avail is the brand name of the Company's principal line of high-quality, low-priced, home and small business computer systems.
''Having our own interactive web site complements the Company's present distribution through the world's largest retailer's web site, and appropriately reflects our mission of providing affordable, branded multimedia computer systems directly to consumers and small businesses via the Internet,'' said Chris Walker, Chief Operating Officer. The Company began a relationship with a major retailer (ie Wal-Mart) in 1995 by selling its computers in its numerous retail outlets. Because of the success the Company had with these retail stores,
expanding its presence from eight to 70 stores in one year, the Company was asked in June 1997 to feature its computers on the retailer's web site. The Avail line of computers has since occupied
a prominent position on that web site, featured regularly on the main ''desktop computer'' page.
