Mark, what your missing is that Amzn has to give up another 15% of an already slim margin. Yes, America is in love with web-sites but do you really think that when a customer goes on to say Auto.com they will then go over to Amzn to buy a book? I don't think so! If I want to buy a car using Internet commerce, I'll go to Auto.com. If I want to buy a book, I will go to Bks.com and you will probably go to Amzn.com or any other of the 25 internet book sellers. Or even better if price is everything, go to Access.com and they will tell you who has the cheapest book in America.
