"If there is a problem with the attempted monopolization, it is not with the company(s), but with the system which rewards them for their capitalistic pursuits."- Yes, and the legal system, including antitrust law, is part of "the system". And as I apparently didn't make clear, my problem with Microsoft and "embrace and demolish" is not good vs. evil; I want everyone to think what it would be like if a Windows PC were as essential as a phone. That is where I see Microsoft trying to take us, with things like ActiveX and their recent "embrace and extension" of Java. I think the internet is evolving into something as pervasive and essential as the telephone system. I don't think this new internet world should be based on the Windows API. If you think I'm talking good and evil in saying this, I guess I better just sign off here; there's not much more I can say.

Cheers, Dan.
