WASHINGTON, June 8 (Reuters) - Microsoft Corp. co-founder Paul Allen has sold over
seven million common shares of the software giant since the beginning of May and he may sell
another 300,000 shares.

In a Form 144 filing on June 4 with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Allen said he
sold 7,215,000 shares of Microsoft from May 1 through 22 for over $600 million.

And he could sell another 300,000 shares with a market value of $25 million through
NationsBanc Montgomery Securities of San Francisco, the filing said.

The approximate date of sale shown in the Form 144 was May 26.

Microsoft's latest quarterly filing with the commission reported 2.46 billion shares
outstanding.
