I think the ti deal is positive, too. After all, chips are commodities. You just have to get big enough to make them cheap enough. What is interesting in the memory department, Apple is putting 256kb into the G4 CPU, a trend that can only continue upward. Intel uses 18kb CPU cache in the PII. The Cerebron uses no secondary cache. Thus, sucky performance.
