I have been comparing PCQuote & S&P Comstock side by side.

They are virtually the same product from the quotes and charting standpoint. The difference is in news and fundamentals.

Conditions: internet, ISDN same line with modem sharing software, running on similarly configured machines.

I find that generally, when I have 2 identical market maker windows up at the same time, PCQ and S&P will be virtually the same speed. However, at busy times (3:15pm-3:45pm), I have noticed numerous times where PCQuote's marketmaker window will run 2-4 seconds behind S&P's.

In terms of intraday charts, in the morning, it takes about the same time to load identical charts, but in the afternoon, PCQuotes intraday charts can load up to TWICE as fast as S&P Comstock's.

A problem I've noticed with S&P that I haven't with PCQ is that sometimes a market maker will get "stuck" on the bid or ask. For example, you'll see:
FBCO 34 1/2 MLCO 34 3/8
MSCO 34 1/4 NITE 34 7/16
while in the top window it will show 34 1/4 x 34 3/8,
and FBCO will just stay there, no matter how low the other bids or the offers go. I have not seen this with PCQ
