The shorts get squeezed if and when there is some news that is seen so positively and interpreted to mean the stock is NOT going down any more and better days are ahead.

In such a scenario, in a large short situation, short starts to panic and trip over each other to buy so that they can get out as fast as possible and not give away their profit or loose their shorts (pun intended) depending ofcourse on the price level where they might have taken the original short position. Happens infrequently but it does happen.

Have no idea whether it could happen with this one or not. All depends on the float etc. But based on average volume and say if HUM were to merge with some well known co. who offers $ 40 or so and you could see I nice little squeeze going.

Just wishful thinking.
