Hello Chip.
I want to add to your statement about TDFX being a screaming buy:

1. TDFX is the undisputed mindshare leader in their market.
2. TDFX has the best product shipping in the largest quantities.
3. TDFX is the chipset being used by Diamond, Orchid, and Creative.
4. TDFX is the logo you will find on the VAST majority of games (that use acceleration) out there on the shelves today.
5. 3-D acceleration is (IMHO) the fastest growing segment of the personal computer industry.
6. Although 3-D action games are the primary application for 3-D acceleration, other games (and programs) will begin to take advantage of the availability of 3-D acceleration once it becomes commonly available. (SimCity 3000 was originally going to be a 3-D game - SimCity 4000 probably will be).

Oh, and one other factor. I have an 18 month old Pentium Pro 200, I was thinking about trading it in, but then I got a Voodoo2 card, and now my machine can do everything I need it to do for the forseeable future. Instead of being out $1500+ for a new computer I am out $300 for a Voodoo2 with 12MB of ram. How many other people will look to TDFX for additional horsepower in their existing/next system?

So, TDFX is a company that has the best technology out first to market, they have the most product awareness in their field, and they are positioned as a market leader in a fast growing segment of the computer industry. Personally, I have been looking for a long time for a company to invest in that had these factors going for it, and that is why I am long (typically, my timing sucks, long @ $29 a share - sob!). But, try to buy my TDFX from me. Sorry, you can't have it. I guess that makes me a true believer.

Frank Sheridan.

P.S. Again, thanks for all the good info you've provided.

P.P.S. Unreal is a decent game, but Forsaken totally dominates as far as graphics goes. The resolution and picture quality seem to be quite a bit better than Unreal, although Unreal is quite impressive (and is certainly a better game overall) . Also, have you checked out Battlezone or DID's F-22 Air Dominance Fighter?
