Kirk, the following responses are in regards to your various remarks.

post #5066:

Don, you might add that an astute listener would observe that Brinker pretty much has refused to discuss his NBR picks on "Moneytalk" for the 4 or 5 years I've been following the show.

Brinker has made comments on "Moneytalk" regarding Stanford Telecom (STII), an NBR pick, at least 2 times in the last few weeks.

I was not even aware of some of these "picks"...

Your welcome, Kirk. It's nice to know that my posts have added value. As I have previously stated,

"I simply thought that I could have added more value to this thread, at least initially, by mentioning some of the lesser known recommendations than simply rehashing what Bob constantly reminds us about. (ie. MSFT at a split-adjusted $3 3/4 and VOD at a split-adjusted $17)"

and

"I believe that the reason most listeners have the belief that Bob can't miss with a stock pick is because Bob constantly beats over our head the fact that he recommended MSFT in 1990 at a split-adjusted $3 3/4 without any mention to his other recommendations."

I guess the truth is getting out...

...until the one-sided-slam-o-rama's started getting posted under many different names in different forums by what seems to be the same person or two.

Oh boy, not you too. Do you only read the criticism and completely ignore the praise? Also, please clarify what you mean by "many different names in different forums by what seems to be the same person or two." And don't forget to include facts and evidence to support any allegations you might have.

Would you trust anyone that did not have any info in the personal section other than the date they joined SI?

Are you serious? Are you saying that anyone that does not have any info in the personal section other that the date they joined SI can't be trusted? Are you aware of the number of people on this thread who do not have any info in the personal section other than the date they joined SI? Here is just a few.

Now Kirk, which is it? Either we can't trust anyone who does not have any info in the personal section other than the date they joined SI, or you are just trying to smear the **** out of me at any cost?

Kirk, what do you think would happen to this thread if we all followed your lead and started posting Hasty Conclusions like the one you just made? I'll refrain from making a personal attack at this point, but I feel like inserting one right here...

post #5258:

Hmmm. If you post well thought out posts that contribute to the general knowledge of the group then I have to agree.

Kirk, you have stated I was not even aware of some of these "picks"...Sounds like a contribution to your general knowledge to me.

If you were to post like a broken record about a single issue and nothing else and fill your posts with slams such as calling a generally well respected person a "liar" or "Spin Doctor" then I disagree as I question your motives.

First, I have posted about more than just a single issue. (Hasty Conclusion, again!) Second, I have supported my claims of "liar" and "Spin Doctor" with evidence and facts. (I believe even Justa agreed that Brinker had left a false impression with him. See post #3996 siliconinvestor.com

Attempted character assassination should not be taken lightly by men of substance.

First, I disagree with your premise and inference that I'm assassinating someone's character. And second, is it O.K. for you or Justa to assassinate someone's character? Remember, Justa does not have any info in the personal section other than the date he joined SI.

post #4924:

More interesting to me than the old Utek rehash is Bob's metamorphasis from trying to outperform the market with great, no load, low fee, fund selection to just matching the market with good index funds. I remember him saying a couple of yrs ago that he wanted to beat the market and now, with the market creaming most funds for after tax returns, Bob is clearly a big fan of the index funds. Many of us keep trying to beat the market with great stock selection, but our risks are probably way out of line with the extra returns we get as Bob has so well pointed out.

This is interesting. Would you care to elaborate further?

Best Regards.
